Stackhouse Poland acquires David Fangen
by Gill Montia
Stackhouse Poland, the independent insurance broker that specialises in private, corporate and charity clients, has acquired David Fangen Holdings, which operates as David Fangen in London and W Burch and Son in High Wycombe.
The move increases Stackhouse Poland’s gross written premiums by £10 million, to £40 million, and gives the firm five locations in the south east, employing 90 staff.
David Fangen (the majority shareholder and managing director of David Fangen Holdings) and Mark Shand (currently director of W Burch and Son) will join the Stackhouse Poland board with immediate effect.
Stackhouse Poland has ambitious plans to continue its expansion through organic growth and the development of its key distribution channels
Earlier this year, the broker launched a joint venture with financial services company, HFM Columbus, to form HFM Columbus Insurance Service.
The move followed the launch of Green Park Insurance Services in 2007, in tandem with Alexander Associates Group.
The business specialises in high net worth private clients and the commercial property market.
