Good Charlotte, Christina Milian, More Stars Load Up On Swag At MTV Movie Awards Gifting Suite
There are many perks to being a celebrity — the parties at the Playboy Mansion, the accompanying trips to rehab facilities, the minutes-long stays in detention centers — but perhaps the, uh, perkiest of them all is the gifting suite.
There are many reasons for this, none bigger than the fact that the average suite is basically an unending bonanza of totally amazing, completely free stuff (everything from diamond watches to espresso machines to socks), staffed by a bevy of good looking men and women who want nothing more than to give you said free stuff. And, of course, since you’re a celebrity, you don’t really need any of it — but hey, free stuff!
And at really big events — like, say, Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards at 8 p.m. ET — the gifting suites ascend to another level, bringing out the big guns (facials and manicures, Aston Martins, even bigger diamond watches); lining up a celebrity DJ or two; and ditching the whole “suite” thing in favor of the expansive “lounge/loft/fort” concept (which basically means more couches and a bar dispensing vitamin water of some sort). And then, they just sit back and watch the celebs roll in.
Case in point: Kari Feinstein’s MTV Movie Awards Style Lounge, the premier preshow spot for celebrities looking to get their fill of fabulous swag.
