Rumour: James Franco wanted for Jack Ryan?
With Paramount still trying to re-inflate the Jack Ryan franchise, figuring it can get at least a couple more films out of the world’s most harried CIA agent, the air has been pumping again with word that Sam Raimi is aiming to produce a new version.
And according to CHUD’s sources, Raimi has been eyeing one of his Spider-Man regulars, Pineapple Express star James Franco, as a likely new young Ryan. Problem is, Raimi’s Paramount studio partners aren’t so sure Franco can carry such a hefty franchise outing.
Even Devin over at CHUD is listing this one as a big, ol’, honkin’ rumour, so take it with all the salt you can physically pinch. And don’t forget to tell us whether you think Franco’s the man for the job over at the forums.
