British Sea Power added to GuilFest 2008

British Sea Power, the piece epic outfit, will be headlining the Ents24 Stage on Sunday 4th July GuilFest . Three into their flourishing career � their recent album ‘Do You Like ?’ hit the top in the UK album charts in January - British Sea Power have been described by the Sunday Times as ‘The best band in Britain’. Their critically acclaimed live are famous throughout the UK � In 2004, the band won the Time Out London Live Band of the Year award.

and The Jing Jang Jong have also been confirmed on the Ents24 stage on Sunday 4th July. Formed in January , a buzz built so quickly that that they had already supported the likes of Babyshambles, Dizzee Rascal, Cansei de Ser Sexy and the Kaiser Chiefs even before the release of their debut single in October , after which they sold out their debut headline UK tour in December . In recognition, they were placed 7th in the BBC Sound of poll.The band�s second single, ‘Lonely Buoy�, released in March, charted 43. The band�s debut album is due this summer.

Psychedelic electronic funksters The Egg will be performing GuilFest on Friday 4th July on the Ents24 stage. The Egg, who co-wrote ‘ For Lovers� by Wolfman with Pete Docherty in 2005, released their last album, ‘Forwards� in 2006. The Observer proclaimed ‘Like New Order floating on a crowd�, while The Times stated that ‘Forwards slots in somewhere between Air, Groove Armada and Zero 7�. Known for their amazing improvised festival appearances throughout the world, the incredible musicians that form The Egg have been gigging everywhere from Austin, Texas, to the Third Post-Apartheid Festival in South Africa in recent years. Expect a set full of infectious electronic grooves and beats.

Wills & The Willing are to play the Main stage sponsored by Commercial on Saturday 5th July GuilFest , fresh from the release of their second album, Heroes & Villains. Guest vocalists on the new album include Mercury Prize nominated singer Tom McRae, rapper Dandelion, Kubb frontman Harry Collier, Moke members John Hogg and Charlie Morton, plus footballers Didier Drogba and Michael Essien. Essien and Drogba have collaborated with Wills on what will be the first single from the album, the track ‘Skin’ - you can see the for this track on .com. Expectations are that these Chelsea FC superstars will also be appearing onstage GuilFest with Wills and the Willing!!!!

Keeping on the subject of , GuilFest will have �s very own David Beckham Soccer Academy the festival this year which will be offering coaching sessions from professional coaches to children between the ages of 5 and 15, quiz activities and even a -styler performing skills and !

Other festival attractions include Farmer Giles� Barn - so get on down and grab your partner for a bit of ‘Dosey � Doh!’ - Superb cocktail bars, street performers, great arts and crafts, a fabulous selection of from around the world and, as usual, the massive 150� long bar means nobody has to wait very long for refreshment!

Facilities adjacent to Stoke Park include The Guildford Lido which is only minutes walk and The Spectrum Leisure Centre, great for hot showers, sauna or a swim. The historic town is itself only 10minutes walk away and has shops, cafes restaurants, bars and pubs galore; Guildford even has its own castle!
