Yes ‘Eivissa� means ‘Ibiza� in Spanish, you got it. You know the place where the worlds best DJ�s converge every summer. They come together to put forward the most upfront dance cuts in their possession and to drop them at every club they play. Every track has an instant connection to the crowd and often become people�s soundtracks to the whole summer.
It�s these underground club tracks that get the mix treatment in Eivissa 08. It�s a carefully crafted mix by the international DJ and Defected Label head Simon Dunmore.
Simon has been a regular player in Ibizan music culture. His label Defected Records has been key to many of the now well known and loved Ibiza classics. This year he has put together 2 x mixes of upfront and classic tracks that will reflect the true sound of the island. It is a mix of Latin Soul, Balearic beats and quality house tracks that can be listened to anywhere to bring back those memories of your exploits.
Defected Records has its own flagship events at Pacha Ibiza, every Tuesday with a famous dancefloor that is a sure fire testing ground for essential records. It is here that every track is tested and earns the right to be included on the annual Defected presents Eivissa 08 soundtrack.
This is our 5th instalment of this annual compilation with highlights that include Kings of Tomorrow - ‘Finally� (Usual Suspects Remix), Bob Sinclar ‘Save Our Souls� (BT Re-Edit) and Junior Jack ‘Hola�.

Almost every artist that performs at Defected events during the summer season is connected to the label either with their own productions or remixes.
