Hove festival line-up

Hove is the embodiment of the modern -friendly festival.

From June 23rd to June 27th you can experience not only the BEST , but be part of an eco-approach that takes the earth seriously:

*Exceptional nature: Hove is located on the idyllic island of Tromya outside the city of Arendal, on the scenic Norwegian south coast. The special surroundings make Hove one of the most picturesque festivals in with beach bars, amazing sunsets and an overall alluring scenery. These surroundings make a great opportunity for an uncompromised focus on environmental issues.

* Zero carbon emissions: Last year Hove could boast of carbon neutral status and the festival takes its environmental responsibilities VERY seriously, collaborating closely with environmental groups such as Bellona from the planning stages.

* Eco friendly infrastructure: The festival goers are encouraged to think and act, always with the in mind: solar-powered phone charging, windmill and solar heated water supplies, a distinct recycling scheme, rental park with fuel, bio-generators, recycled bags and packaging.

*Zero footprint camp: Exclusive camp in the most idyllic surroundings of the idyllic surroundings, where campers must sign eco-contract that promises not to leave a ’single footprint’ behind.

*Conference and activism: A multimedia seminar will be held together with Bellona where environmentally aware will meet with eco-activist politicians to discuss the future of the earth. There will be ongoing train and bike campaigns throughout the festival, and a hydrogen boat showcase. The audience survey will have own eco section.

Hove prides itself in being one hot eco party with a varied demographic that celebrates in the most attractive surroundings.

The smashing and eclectic line up is now complete! .I.A., Beck, The Raconteurs and Panic The Disco have been added as headliners alongside Jay-Z and Babyshambles, and the final names of the almost 100 name strong five day festival consolidates the already firmly eclectic booking approach: Sepultura drummer Iggor Cavaleras DJ project (!) Mixhell, Norwegian italo-disco fetishist Skatebrd, post- supergroup (Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip) Neon Neon and the hotly tipped Australian ‘electro/’ act Midnight Juggernauts.

These round out a program that already includes everything from darlings like Santogold, Black Kids and Foals, breakthrough acts like MSTRKFT and Surkin, genre hopping favourites Animal Collective and Weekend, a of post /screamo superstars-in-the-making from The Used to Avenged Sevenfold and an extremely strong program that runs from homegrown black legends (Dimmu Borgir) to prog superstars like In Flames. Yes, and theres even a few veterans like Bad Religion. This is truly a program unlike any other seen on these shores or anywhere else for that matter!
