M83 announces Ruby Lounge date and Kings of Leon support
M83 announce a brand new single release, We Own The Sky, out on 1st December 2008. Taken from their fifth studio album, Saturdays=Youth, the track featured in MOJO magazine�s top ten: ‘this soaring epic enfolds the listener in warm blankets of synth and refuses to let go’.
We Own The Sky comes backed with Maps� remix of the title track, previously available on a swap-mix 7′ on Sonic Cathedral and described by the NME as ‘a space-disco rager’ plus brand new song Je Vous Hais Petites Filles and ParkerLab�s Dusted remix of Graveyard Girl.
M83 return to the UK for a series of headline shows that kick off with a date at London�s Scala on 22nd October before they join Kings Of Leon for dates throughout December including the 02 Arena on 11th December and Wembley Arena on 22nd December 2008 (full dates below).
2008 has seen M83 cement their reputation as one of the best live acts around. Beginning the year with their first Australian dates, a 14 date North American & Canadian tour and a sold out headline London show, M83 have become a firm favourite on the international festival circuit, have recently confirmed an extensive European tour and will return to the US for another series of dates before the end of the year.
Saturdays=Youth - M83�s fifth studio album � is out now on Mute. Featuring the singles Kim & Jessie and Graveyard Girl (http://www.youtube.com/user/m83), Saturdays=Youth is described as ‘a remarkable record’ by The Guardian and as being ’saturated with, teenage melodrama’ (Word).
