Richard Hawley confirms End of the Road Festival

Richard Hawley and Bon Iver are two of the we can today announce for this year�s End of the Road Festival lineup. They�ll be playing Sunday and Saturday respectively.

Also in the latest batch are: Cate Le Bon, David Thomas Broughton, Congregation, Liz Green, Noah & the Whale, Peter & The Wolf [USA] and

They all join one of the finest lineups of the year, one of the best small festivals on the UK circuit � winner of Best New Festival the UK Festival 2006.

Headlining End of the Road are Coner Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band / Dirty Three (Friday), Mercury Rev (Saturday) and Calexico (Sunday).

Several more major are set to be announced in coming weeks.

The relatively intimate crowd of 5, attendees, plus local peacocks and parrots, will witness some huge cult names alongside a range of today’s most talented rising in a that includes the following :

Mercury Rev, Calexico, Coner Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band, Dirty Three, Low, Club, Two Gallants, British Sea Power, Sun Kil Moon / Mark Kozelek, Billy Childish, Micah P Hinson, The Mountain Goats, Akron/Family, Kimya Dawson, Darren Hayman (Darren and Jack Play Hefner Songs), FM Belfast, Laura Marling, Devon Sproule, Angelo Spencer, Kelley Stoltz, Jeffrey Lewis, Jason Molina, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Bob Log III, The Wave , Woodpigeon and Friska Viljor

Tucked away in the garden’s glades and pathways, attendees might also stumble across the mysterious Library in the Woods, a Healing Retreat, surprise art installations, lovingly curated film and tents and several of the surprise impromptu performances that have become the stuff of legend, as bands caught up in the spirit of the festival � often described as akin to an early Glastonbury - knock out a song with the aid of a handy woodland piano.

Said festival organiser Simon Taffe: ‘I sold my house to put on this festival, and three years on ’s even more the best thing I have ever done than ever before. We try and bring down the barriers between and festival-goers as much as possible, and all the surprises and spontaneous performances create a sense that anything can happen. I can�t wait!’
