Stereo Sushi new release
Prime purveyors of ‘Hi-fidelity House Music, Fresh From The Deep’, the Stereo Sushi crew have gathered together the finest ingredients for their 13th succulent edition of Stereo Sushi.
Featuring 24 mouth-wateringly full 12′ tracks unmixed across two savoury courses, the latest Stereo Sushi outing once again features a distinctively detailed cover illustration from renowned artists Si Scott to compliment another perfect assortment of soulful cuts.
Diving headlong into the deep, delicious diva Barbara Tucker and Marc Evans get the good vibes rolling with a Muthafunkaz retooling of ‘We Are, before Marc goes it alone with the bouncing soul of ‘Reach Out For The Love. Toni Granello and Linda Lee Hopkins benefit from the deft touch of another Muthafunkaz appearance with their slinky take on ‘Lift Him Up, as DJ Fudge brings Jon Cutlers ‘Its Yours featuring E-man bang up to date with a head-nodding rebuild and Roasted Soul featuring Hollie OBriens smoky tones get busy on the inspirational ‘Now Or Never. Fanatix Gospel infused ‘Open Your Eyes nestles between two more superlative outings for Muthafunkaz, who add their own unique stylings to Key To Lifes ‘Find A Way and Teddy Douglass ‘Whatcha Gonna Do featuring the sensational vocal gymnastics of Margaret Grace.
Jamie Lewis & Michael Watford deliver a Hammond-powered ‘Its Not Over (Baby Please), Terry Hunters mix of Glen Lewiss ‘Stay With Me, and more delectable dealings from Muthafunkaz refitting Danny Clark and Jay Benhams ‘Wondrous keep the taste buds on full flavour alert before Jasper Street Companys classic ‘Solid Ground gets a shake down courtesy of Sushi favourite DJ Spen bringing the first course to a flavoursome finale.
Joi Cardwells ‘People Make The World Go Round gets the second helping off to a savoury start with a classic uplifting piano groove which Dennis Ferrer continues on his sumptuous mix of Reel Peoples ‘Cant Stop. Groove Junkies crank up the pace with their remix of Danisms ‘Truth Is and Andrea Love lays down some forceful soul, firstly with Steve Stone who brings the funky licks to the fore on ‘Good Love and then on Sergio DAngelos string swathed ‘Cant Live Without Your Groove. Anthony Romeno gets the slap bass rolling with ‘I Wont Let You Go before Sushis own Warren Clarke & Tara McDonald go ‘Love Crazy with an extra helping of Hi Fidelity House.
The chopping guitar of Panevinos ‘Freeze The Frame leads into another Sushi favourite Richard Earnshaw whose ‘Unbelievable features the sultry sound of Angie Brown before Earnshaw returns to man the controls for Soulmakers ‘Falling. Joi Cardwell makes another appearance fronting Orienta-Rhythms ‘Happy, leaving the last morsel to Darryl DBonneaus ‘Stay With Me which gets a fragrant retouch from DJ Meme for a rich and fulfilling finish to the latest Stereo Sushi.
